Community

On Campus

Our community at the University of Tampa includes:

The connections you will create with these people provide a strong sense of community during your time as an undergraduate student and lead to powerful lifelong friendships. Also, these connections can lead to great professional networking opportunities.

Nationwide

Being a part of the fraternity allows you to meet countless brothers who share the same interests and goals as you. There is an unspoken connection between the 14,000+ Betas nationwide. These automatic bonds make it easy to make friends and expand your network. As an undergraduate student, you will:

  • Attend local Florida and Tampa area events
  • Attend national and regional conferences
  • Form connections with brothers at the University of Tampa

Once you join, you are a member for life, even after graduation. Check out benefits after graduation at the bottom of this page and check out our chapter map in our Resources page.

After Graduation

The benefits of joining Sigma Lambda Beta do not stop after graduation. The lifelong brotherhood always continues as members continue to spend their lives together after graduation. Our alumni also stay heavily involved with the fraternity through various Sigma Lambda Beta programs such as:

  • Alumni networks, geographically based entities that provide a community for alumni who live all around the world. (see Map)
  • Alumni associations, entities that provide an outlet for graduated brothers of a single chapter. These associations provide mentoring opportunities, fundraisers, and support for their home chapter.
  • Volunteer opportunities such as:
    • Serving as an elected leader or committee member
    • Speaking at national or regional events
    • Volunteering on the alumni advisory board for a chapter
    • Helping with recruitment
    • Being involved with expansion opportunities at new schools
